Das Ferienhaus hat eine phantastische Aussicht, die man von allen Räumen aus genießen kann. Das Grundstück ist herrlich gelegen und den Kaffee auf der Terrasse haben wir jeden Morgen aufgrund der Aussicht wieder genossen. Der Vermieter war sehr um uns bemüjt.

Fantastic cottage in Rosmuc. It’s about 5 km off the main road in a little hamlet with stunning views on all sides - sea and hills. The house is immaculately clean, with plenty of space for a family of 5, with 3 grown-up children. The kitchen has everything you will need. The living room has views on three sides, so no matter the weather you can be immersed in the landscape. The solid fuel stove keeps the space toasty warm. On good days the garden has seats to sit outside. Enjoy!!

This was our second holiday at the cottage and it was just as perfect as the first time. The cottage is very well equipped with everything you might need, it is comfortable, spotlessly clean and we really felt at home.
The first time we visited it was March and the log burner really made us cosy at night, this time we were there in May and were able to take advantage of the patio to enjoy the sunshine. Regardless of the time of year or the weather you still feel at home. We will definitely return; probably at a different time of year to experience all seasons.
The location is incredibly peaceful, at times all you can hear is the birds singing. The views are spectacular and words can't really describe them.
Mike is lovely and couldn't do more to ensure you have all the information you need to enjoy your holiday. There are maps of the area and lots of leaflets and suggestions of what to do, as well as walks.
We look forward to a return visit!

Blown away by the setting - 5 Stars *****
When we arrived at Seacht, we were blown away by the setting. It's in a beautiful spot with stunning views of the Connemara hills and the North Atlantic Ocean all around. It's an extremely peaceful location and the perfect place to recharge and reconnect with nature.
The house itself was immaculate and had everything you could need including lots of books, jigsaws and games. The lounge was perfect for seating us all around the large table to play games. The bedrooms were spacious and the beds all very comfortable. It can be often be a lottery as to whether you get beds as comfortable as the ones you have at home when you go on holiday, but we needn’t have worried - these were really great quality mattresses. The opening roof windows in the two bedrooms upstairs gave a spectacular view out across the rugged coastline, and on a clear night, you can see a sky full of stars.
The kitchen is small but very well equipped with everything we needed to prepare meals.
Mike was very attentive both before, during and after our stay, making sure we were happy, checking if there was anything we needed and answering any questions we had.
We had plenty of days out, driving 45-60 mins to get to places like Galway City (‘Trad on the Prom’ is a fantastic show if it’s on when you visit), Dogs Bay (absolutely stunning beach - could be in the Caribbean!) and Kylemore Abbey (beautiful setting, look for the secret fairy woodland if you have little ones).
We absolutely loved Galway and Seacht was the perfect place to stay. Thanks Mike for allowing us the opportunity to stay in your lovely holiday home! ❤️

Ein wunderschönes Haus in traumhafter, wenn auch abgelegener Lage. Man merkt, dass man sich hier Gedanken gemacht hat über das Wohl der Gäste. Die gesamte Einrichtung ist neu, und nicht, wie leider so oft, die abgelegte Einrichtung der Besitzer. Es sind bequeme und ausreichend breite Betten mit guten Matratzen vorhanden, das Wohnzimmer ist groß und verfügt auch über einen Sofaplatz für jeden Gast. Für den Ofen sind ausreichend Holz und Torf vorhanden, sodass sich auch verregnete Tage ertragen lassen. Küche: Alles funktioniert, Geschirr und Besteck sind in guter Qualität und ausreichender Anzahl vorhanden, sodass die Nutzung der Spülmaschine auch Sinn ergibt. Schnelles W-LAN, Spiele, Puzzles, und, und, und. Das ganze Haus war bei unserer Ankunft perfekt sauber. - Hier stimmt einfach alles und ist sein Geld wert. Uneingeschränkte Empfehlung.

From the very first contact with Mike he was incredibly helpful ranging from giving us advice on the ferry and directions through to supermarkets and places to visit. He genuinely cared that we had a good time, and we absolutely did! The cottage is beyond words! Exactly as described, but no words can adequately convey the views, the scenery and the comfort of the cottage. Yes, it is remote but that is the point. Still plenty of opportunity to visit tourist attractions and shop for supplies, but the peace and quiet can't fail to relax you from the moment you arrive. We stayed at the end of March so the log / peat fire was delightfully cosy. Beds were comfy and the kitchen had everything you need. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to return at some point.

This was the perfect place to stay for our first visit to Ireland. Everywhere was spotlessly clean and the cottage was very well equipped with every little detail thought of. The views were spectacular and opening the curtains each morning gave a different wonderful perspective depending on the weather. MIke made the whole rental process very easy and the information he provided was excellent. He went above and beyond to help us after we vacated the property and for that we are extremely grateful. And finally............we will be returning.

Unglaubliche Ausblicke - 5 Stars *****
Das Haus "Seacht" in Garafin/Rosmuc liegt wunderbar auf einem kleinen Hügel. Von dort - und aus allen Zimmern - hat man eine 360°-Sicht auf die umliegenden Buchten, Inseln und die leicht bergige Landschaft. Wir hatten fast nur Sonnenschein, trotzdem waren Licht und Farbenspiel so abwechslungsreich, dass man sich nicht satt sehen konnte.
Das Haus ist mit einem sehr gemütlich eingerichteten Wohnzimmer und drei Schlafzimmern mit jeweils eigenem Badezimmer hervorragend ausgestattet. Abends flackerte der Kamin und verbreitete wohlige Wärme.
Auch in der Küche fehlte es an nichts, so dass auch das Kochen Spaß machte.
Zum Planen von Ausflügen hat Mike eine schöne Mappe angelegt und jede Menge Kartenmaterial bereit gestellt. Auch der Kontakt war jederzeit sehr freundlich und fürsorglich.
Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und können das Haus uneingeschränkt weiter empfehlen.

Sehr freundlicher Vermieter, den wir persönlich kennenlernen konnten. Großes, bestents Ferienhaus auf großem Grundstück, in sehr ruhiger abgeschiedener Lage mit atemberaubender Aussicht. Viel Informationsmaterial über Ausflugsmöglichkeiten. Sehr bequeme Betten, 3 Badezimmer. Spaziergänge ab Haus möglich, etwas längerer Anfahrtsweg zu den größeren Stränden um Clifden/ Roundstone.

Beautiful, clean, fully furnished cottage with all of the accommodations. It is way out there, about 40 minutes from the nearest place to eat, drink, and shop, but in a rural, way it was type of area. Mike is the most responsive owner we have ever worked with, not only answering all of our questions about the cottage, but he also went out of his way to answer all questions pertaining to Ireland in general. Top notch cottage and owner!

The cottage is clean and comfortable. The amenities are top notch. The rental was a breeze. If you are looking to lose yourself in Connamara, let this be your jumping off point. Yes, you will drive a lot, but if you are in this part of Ireland, I assume you expect that. It is worth it! Envision coming home and making dinner after a day of exploring. Then, see yourself sitting with a beverage next to a peat fire. If you can envision that, this is absolutely the best place to turn that dream real.

Die Informationen des Gastgebers sind umfangreich und hilfreich: detaillierte Wegbeschreibung, Informationen zu Ausflusgzielen, Restaurantempfehlungen, Wandervorschläge - zusätzlich vor Ort auch Kartenmaterial (Ordnance Survey). Vor Ort hatten wir zusätzlich Kontakt mit dem Gastgeber - sehr freundlich, humorvoll. Wir hoffen, wieder dorthin zu reisen und sagen DANKE!
A wonderful holiday worth every penny - 5 Stars *****
Everything was as advertised or as communicated by the home owner. Communication was great, including the detailed directions to the cottage from the airport and details of local supermarkets. The cottage was spotlessly clean and of a very high quality, it was welcoming and provided everything we needed for our stay. There was no skimping on fuel for the fire, or heating and the clear instructions on laying/ working a peat fire we’re really helpful. Thank you for a wonderful stay and for going the ‘extra mile’ in all things including weather warnings, which enabled us to stock up so we could huddle down with emergency bickies and enjoy the show of Connemara being both wild and beautiful.

A beautiful property with fantastic views which change with the weather. Property was spotless and had everything for a getaway from it all holiday. Having a car is essential as you are out on a peninsula. Local shop /post office which is about 2miles away has everything and they are very friendly and they like to have a little chat with anyone who comes in. Mike the owner was very helpful and provided lots of information about the area. There are plenty of maps at the property to enable you to go and explore the beutiful beaches and the surrounding area. Thanks Mike a great holiday.
Großartiges Haus in ruhiger Lage mit wunderbarem Blick auf die Landschaft von Connemara - 5 Stars *****
Wir haben lange nach dem richtigen Haus für unseren ersten Irland-Urlaub gesucht und unsere Erwartungen wurden bei Weitem übertroffen. Allein die Fahrt von Maam Cross nach Rosmuc ist schon überwältigend und die Aussicht vom Haus ist in alle Richtungen großartig. Das Haus selbst ist sehr sauber und die Ausstattung und die Möbel sind sehr hochwertig. Darüber hinaus ist es aber auch so, dass man das Gefühl hat nach Hause zu kommen. Besonders hervorzuheben ist die Kommunikation mit Mike, der uns auch im Vorfeld schon gut betreut hat. So hat er uns zum Beispiel eine perfekte Wegbeschreibung mit Tipps für Einkaufsmöglichkeiten geschickt. Auch im Haus war alles gut erklärt. Man kann innerhalb einer Stunde viele schöne Orte erreichen aber es tut auch gut vor Ort spazieren zu gehen. Es finden sich immer ein bis zwei Hunde, die Spiel- und Weggefährten suchen..alle sehr freundlich. Empfehlen können wir alles, was in den vorherigen Bewertungen empfohlen wurde und möchten noch ergänzen, dass auch ein Besuch der Micil Distillery in Galway sich lohnt. Wir hatten zwei wunderbare Wochen in Irland und kommen sicher wieder.

Wir haben in diesem Ferienhaus zwei sehr schöne Ferienwochen verbracht. Schon kurz nach unserer Reservierung hatten wir einen sehr netten Kontakt mit Mike, der uns umfangreiche Informationen zum Haus, zu Sehenswürdigkeiten in der näheren Umgebung und eine genaue Zufahrtsbeschreibung zuschickte. Eine ausführliche Mappe mit Informationen liegt auch im Haus selbst vor. As wir ankamen, waren Toast, Butter, Tee und Kaffee vorhanden. Das ganze Haus und der Vermieter Mike strahlten Großzügigkeit aus. Es gibt z. B. Tabs für die Spülmaschine und Waschpulver. Mike hat uns auch zahlreiche Landkarten und Wandertipps zur Verfügung gestellt. An regnerischen Tagen sorgen Bücher, DVDs und Spiele für Unterhaltung. Für kürzere Ausflüge stehen zwei Räder bereit. Das Fernsehgerät kann nicht nur irische, sondern auch britische Sender empfangen. Wir haben das Haus in einem sehr sauberen und gepflegten Zustand übernommen. Ein besonderes Lob gilt also Eileen, die das Haus nach den acht Gästen vor uns makellos gereinigt hat. Mike Parrott ist ein sehr großzügiger Vermieter, man spürt, dass es ihm wichtig ist, dass seine Gäste sich im Haus wohlfühlen. Dabei hat er an zahlreiche Einzelheiten gedacht, die den Aufenthalt im Haus angenehm machen. Bei Fragen bekamen wir immer umgehend eine Antwort. Das Haus selbst ist sehr luxuriös, es verfügt über drei Schlafzimmer mit jeweils drei Bädern. Der Wohnraum verfügt über einen Ofen, der mit Torf und Holz beheizt wird und dessen Flammen abends eine wunderbare Atmosphäre schaffen. Die Küche ist modern und mit hochwertigen Küchengeräten ausgestattet. Besonders hat uns der Blick aus allen Fenstern des Hauses gefallen, wir hatten eine atemberaubende Aussicht auf das Meer und die gegenüberliegenden Berge. Insgesamt gibt es nur Positives über dieses Haus und den Vermieter zu sagen. In diesem Haus kann man sich nur wohlfühlen. Hubert und Monika
Tolles Haus in ruhiger Lage! - 5 Stars *****
Uns hat dieses Haus sehr gut gefallen. Es fehlt an nichts und alles ist sauber, geräumig und komfortabel. Auch unsere zwei Teenager haben sich wohlgefühlt. Die Kommunikation mit Michael hat wunderbar geklappt und wir hatten schon früh allerlei Informationen. Das Haus ist sehr ruhig gelegen, doch wenn man bereit ist für Aktivitäten und Einkäufe mit dem Auto zu fahren ist vieles gut erreichbar. So haben wir Connemara und Galway erkundet und die Atmosphäre genossen. Es war ein wunderschöner, erholsamer Urlaub!

When we arrived at the cottage, we were surprised by the beauty of the location. The owner also made sure that there was bread, coffee and tea when we arrived in the evening. We enjoyed our two weeks holidays in this lovely cottage very much. The furnishing is of high quality, even small things were already there (e.g. rubbish bags, toilet paper, cleaning agents, ..). The great view to the sea and mountains from the living- and bedrooms impressed us very much. It was a very nice and careful contact to the host Mike.

Wir waren hier für 1 Woche mit unseren Kindern (2 und 4 Jahre). Das Haus ist wirklich klasse. Super aufgeteilt und ausgestattet und auch bei Regentagen zu genießen. Und sehr gepflegt. Wir haben uns am Abend vor den schönen Kamin gesetzt und das Holz- und Torffeuer genossen. In der Umgebung gibts auch genug zu tun, im Umkreis von 1h kann man sicher sehr leicht 1 Woche verweilen. Wirklich empfehlenswert.

Wat een heerlijke plek! Goed uitgerust met drie slaapkamers en drie badkamers. Ruime zitkamer en aparte eetkamer. Mooi uitzicht. In de directe omgeving kan je een leuke wandeling maken. Veel informatie in het huis over wandelingen, restaurants en ideeën voor een dag uit. Veel spelletjes, films en boeken aanwezig voor de regenachtige dag. Winkel op 8 minuten met de auto voor alle basis voorzieningen (ze mogen alleen geen bier verkopen). Wij, met zes volwassenen, hebben een fantastische week gehad. Thanks Mike!!

Wir hatte das Haus im April für 1,5 Wochen gebucht und eine großartige Zeit verbracht. Mike Parrott ist ein sehr verlässlicher Vermieter, der bereits zum Zeitpunkt der Buchung sofort persönlichen Kontakt aufnimmt, um alle wichtigen Fragen seriös zu beantworten. Vor der Anreise stellt er nochmals viele praktische Informationen zur Verfügung. Das Haus lässt in seiner Ausstattung keine Wünsche offen und bietet auf Grund der wundervollen Lage und Aussicht auch an regnerischen Tagen viel Urlaubsfreude. Es ist außerordentlich sauber und gepflegt. In der Küche findet man alle notwendigen Dinge. Kurzum - wer die Einsamkeit und Ruhe in wunderschöner irischer Landschaft sucht ist hier bestens aufgehoben. Wir können das Haus sehr empfehlen.
Beautiful cottage in stunning surroundings - 5 Stars *****
I searched the internet with the words ‘idyllic Galway cottage with views’ and this cottage came up. My goodness, it exceeded expectation in all ways! The cottage is beautiful throughout. It is furnished and equipped to a very high standard, the rooms are large and the bedrooms have more than enough storage space. The bathrooms are gleaming and the jacuzzi bath is an added treat. We had mainly beautiful weather for the time of year, but it was chilly on a night, so we lit the peat/wood burner each evening, which added to the ambience of the beautiful living room. The views out of all windows are picture postcard perfect. Mountains, sea and islands in all directions, with the scenery changing depending on the weather and light. Mike, the cottage owner is so helpful and informative and he gave us some fantastic ideas of places to visit in the area that we may not have discovered ourselves. The drive across country to Kylemore Abbey through Inagh Valley is stunning, as are the white sands of Dogs Bay. Take a walk down to the little harbour (turn right out of the drive and follow the road to the end). You may collect several local dogs along the way, but they all seemed friendly and the view at the end is worth the walk. Can’t wait to visit again to do the things we didn’t get round to this time.

Cosy Cottage, extremely clean, everything you need is provided, outstanding host! We can definitely recommend it. Wir sind mit Baby für eine Woche vor Ort gewesen und haben die Zeit sehr genossen. Das neuwertige Haus für Ruhesuchende ist sehr gut ausgestattet. Alles was man benötigt ist vorhanden. Für unser Kind gab es ein Reisebett und einen Sitzaufsatz für den Esszimmerstuhl. Besonders toll ist das gemütliche und sehr geräumige Wohnzimmer. Holz für den Kamin ist ausreichend vorhanden. Die riesige Holzterrasse mit atemberaubenden Blick lädt bei schönem Wetter zum Kaffee trinken ein. Der sehr freundliche Vermieter war zu unserer Reisezeit selbst vor Ort und hat sich nach unserem Wohl erkundigt. Die Kommunikation im Vorfeld war herausragend. Im Haus ist alles ausführlich beschrieben und erklärt. Auch gibt es Tipps für Ausflüge in die Umgegend. Perfekter geht es nicht. Wir können das Haus uneingeschränkt empfehlen.

Our Holiday in Seacht was just marvellous! The Cottage serves everything you need to feel homey and comfortable (underfloorheating, soundbox, well equipped kitchen). Michael, the owner was easy to communicate with and in every point a gentle and helpful host. We liked the most the setting of the house so that we enjoyed breathtaking views from every window and place in the house. There are a lot of spots to explore in Connemara: Hiking on Inishmore and at the Killary Fjord, strolling on Gurteen & Dog's Beach, diving into lively irish bustle in Galway or just relaxing in the Cottage with a good book and a sip of whisky. The Cottage is the perfect home base!
Excellent Stay in Connemara - 5 Stars *****
The house has a great view on the bay. The owner shared the detailed way to find the cottage and arranged some food to welcome us. The house is very weel equiped, with large volumes (large living room and bedrooms). This is also very clean. Due to bad wether conditions (rare in Connemara...), it was not bad to spend a full day in the cottage, enjoying the chimney with local peat/turf !

Un petit coin de paradis au bout du monde ! Si vous aimez la nature, le silence, le bien-être, les paysages grandioses (montagnes, mer, lacs, rivières, petits chemins bordés de pierres...), allez là-bas sans hésitation ! Nous avons passé une semaine exceptionnelle avec en prime le soleil et la chaleur ; tout est beau dans cette région ; en faisant quelques kilomètres en voiture sur des routes où les moutons se promènent en liberté, on peut passer des paysages vallonnés cernés de montagnes à des plages de sable blanc et à l'eau cristalline ! Quant à la maison, elle est magnifique Nous avons cherché désespérément quelque chose qui manquait mais tout est parfait ! Le confort est au maximum ; nous avons passé notre séjour dans un nid douillet et luxueux avec une terrasse immense où l'on peut prendre l'apéritif devant des couchers de soleil époustouflants. Enfin l'accueil a été exceptionnel même dans les moindres détails : nous avons trouvé à notre arrivée du pain, du beurre, du lait, du café, du thé... comme si nous arrivions chez un ami ; Mike a toujours veillé à notre bien-être par des mails ou des SMS fréquents, avant, après, et tout au long de notre séjour ; il s'est toujours inquiété de savoir si tout allait bien et si nous avions besoin de quelque chose ; c'est un peu comme un ami et pourtant... nous ne l'avons jamais rencontré. Encore une fois, un grand merci à Mike.

Das Haus ist das beste, das wir jemals gemietet hatten. Die Ausstattung ist hochwertig und die Einrichtung aufeinander abgestimmt. Auch die Küche ist mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht. Durch die Fußboden- und Deckenheizung zusammen mit dem Kamin ist es auch immer schön warm im Haus. Die Aussicht aus den Fenstern ist wunderbar und die Lage großartig. Man muss allerdings mindestens eine Stunde Fahrt zu den meisten Sehenswürdigkeiten einplanen. Wer aber Ruhe sucht, der findet sie hier garantiert. Die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter war sehr gut und alle Fragen wurden sehr schnell und freundlich beantwortet. Wir würden jederzeit wieder hier unseren Urlaub verbringen und dann länger bleiben.

We returned to this beautiful cottage for a one week stay. The overall quality of the property continues to be impressive making it a lovely place to spend time in. The surrounding scenery is exceptional at any time of the year and the views from the windows of the property are truly stunning. We highly rate this property for a whole range of reasons.
The cottage provides a tranquil escape from it all whilst having plenty to see and do in easy travelling distance. If you want to experience Ireland's Wild Atlantic Way this wonderful Connemara property is ideal.
Idyllic getaway - 5 Stars *****
This was our first trip to Ireland and we will definitely be back. Michael gave us thorough directions to the cottage and explained everything we needed. There is a village shop close by but not much else in the way of services but this adds to the appeal of the cottage as it means you are really getting away from it all. The cottage itself is first class, everything you will need is here Michael seems to have thought of everything to make your stay outstanding, we particularly loved the lounge with windows on every side offering stunning views. The cottage is about half an hour from the nearest beach and pub and an hour from most other attractions. This is not a problem, if you want a totally relaxing, get away from it all holiday this is for you. We loved the peace and quiet and an added bonus was the star gazing which was amazing due to the lack of light pollution. There are plenty of pubs round and about offering excellent food, the seafood chowder is a speciality. Stay at this cottage you won't regret it.

This was our second stay at this lovely property. The setting is absolutely stunning. The house is equipped to the highest standards and everything you need is provided. The property was spotlessly clean. Mike is very easy to deal with. The location may appear remote, but is in fact in easy reach of many of the attractions in the area, with the added bonus that driving to these takes you through fabulous scenery.

This was our second visit to the cottage returning because of the high quality it offers. It is second to none! Both in terms of the comfort and cleanliness of the property paired with the 360 degrees of outstanding scenery. The owners manage the property with a refreshing level of attention to detail, the maintainence and warm welcome by Eileen is also of a very high standard. The cottage is spacious, well equipped as a home from home, decorated and furnished beatifully. There is so much to see locally and plenty of fantastic beaches nearby to explore. It is clear that the property and its location would suit many, from our perspective it makes a perfect family break. We will book again!

The cottage we stayed at was definitely the best place we have ever stayed at. the cottage was cozy, spacious, warm, clean and most of all had some stunning views out of all the windows. Also the underfloor heating was a massive luxury.
It was a great base for us. There was loads of places to eat and the local shops are very beneficial as it had all the goods for you.
A car is essential as some of the amazing places that everyone will love is only 30-40 minutes away. The locals are very friendly (Trip to the Arran isle).

The cottage is located in an area of fantastic scenery and has views of the Wild Atlantic Way and spectacular mountains. The property is finished to a high specification and all visitor needs have been considered with well thought out information on the property and the local/wider area. The cottage is well equipped for a family, the decor is of a very high standard and it is immaculately clean.
Mike the owner and Eileen who takes care of the property were really friendly and helpful.
We have already recommended to family and friends and would definitely book again.

What an amazing stay! - 5 Stars *****
What an amazing week we had! The cottage was faultless, we had seven people staying and because it is so spacious we still felt we had plenty of room. The views are beautiful from every window; mountains and the sea. The area is lovely, we made use of the two bikes provided to explore the area. There is plenty to do and beautiful places to visit just a short drive from the cottage and the local area was great to eat out, the boat inn at Oughterard serves great food as does O'Dowds in Roundstone. We visited the local lead and silver mine which was good fun and had a lovely walk around the white beaches of Dogs Bay.
Also the ferry to the Aran Islands is only 30 -40 minutes away which is definitely worth a visit! We all had a fantastic stay and would love to go back. Thank you Mike it was great!

The pictures on the site don't do justice to this beautifully kept house. Every room has an amazing aspect out to the Wild Atlantic Way. if you want to experience peace, tranquility, and stay in a spiritual place then this is for you. The house is remote but that's the beauty of it. Everything in the house from the beds, linen, towels and kitchen equipment is of the highest quality. I stayed here for a week with my two teenage sons and it was just magical. There a lots of DVD's to watch when the weather turns to keep you entertained. The location of the house allows you to explore Connemara, galway and Mayo comfortably. There is lots to see and do and being in the Gaeltacht is charming. We ate out in Kilkeiran, Galway and Cong and the food was amazing especially the seafood chowder and mussels. Dealing with Mike was a pleasure and he was always on hand as was Eileen. I would have no reservations in recommending this beautiful place

This is the perfect 'get away from it all' house in a beautiful location. The house is very comfortable, warm and well-equipped. The views of the sea and mountains are just beautiful. There is plenty of information about the local area on things to do and visit, and the house is well stocked with games, puzzles, books and DVDs, should the need arise. There is also a good Wifi connection. The location is fairly remote and we were made well aware of this prior to booking by the owner, Mike. Thankfully this didn't put us off. We were on holiday for 2 weeks with our two sons (aged 13 and 9) and they loved the house and location also, enjoying the freedom of walking or cycling around the peninsula. The owner Mike and housekeeper Eileen were very welcoming and were available at all times to answer any questions. Perfect Place for Peace, Relax and Explore - 5 Stars *****
We made a round trip in Ireland with first a couple of days in the Southwest before staying a week in this beautiful cottage in Connemara. Apart from its perfect location with great views the house is very comfortable - big rooms, top kitchen, warm and big lounge with top entertainment as well as fast internet connection which was important to us. The owner Mike was very helpful before, during and after our stay. Mike stated that in advance that his cottage is remote but we used it also as base to explore Connemara - and also Mayo up to Donegal. At this time of the year and with all the sunshine we had absolutely no problem to make the miles per car as road conditions are excellent. We had even enough time to do some longer trails such as Diamond Hill in Connemara NP or Croagh Patrick in Mayo. To summarize if you look for a place to relax in luxury and/or to explore great sites in the Irish countryside this luxury cottage is the place to be.

We were visiting Ireland to celebrate our Silver wedding anniversary and have a bit of a relaxing get away from it all break. On arrival at the cottage we could not believe the surroundings and views. The cottage was perfect and had an lovely homely feel, clean and well equipped to a extremely high standard. The under floor heating made it feel constantly warm and cosy. Lot's in the area to visit and easily filled our days with lovely places to explore or just walking on the beach with the dog. We were so impressed with the cottage, Micheal the owner and Eileen the housekeeper we have already booked for 2 weeks next year. Before, during and after the visit communication with Micheal was fast and nothing was too much trouble for him,emails were answered in full with great details of the area supplied also. Quality Connemara Cottage - 5 Stars *****
My wife and I were privileged to enjoy a wonderful 15 day stay in this superb cottage. We were unable to find any fault. The cottage provides very good views towards the sea and mountains in an environment that forces one to unwind, relax and converse with nature in all its beauty. Eileen was exceptionally helpful in greeting us on arrival as well as maintaining contact during our stay to ensure that we had an enjoyable holiday (even visiting us during a bad storm to ensure we were OK). The owner also made contact to ensure a similar outcome. We were also very impressed by the extent and quality of equipment in the house including a fully equipped kitchen that would satisfy the most fastidious guest. The highlight was the excellent WiFi and heating, including more than sufficient fuel supplies for the fire. It was a wonderful cottage.
Luxurious and well thought-out - 5 Stars *****
We were delighted with this holiday cottage - it had everything we needed and was very well thought-out, with lots of books and guides for things to do. The layout was really spacious so that we felt very relaxed, and the property was very clean. Unfortunately we didn't get much use of the outdoor furniture because it was quite cold in the evenings. However, we used the upstairs sky-light to do some incredible star gazing and chanced upon a meteorite shower! The view out over the sea is amazing in daylight and at night.

This property met all our expectations giving us the space we enjoy as a couple but easy to see how it would suit families or a group of friends. Great views, great sunsets - just magical. Galway, Roundstone, Clifden, all worth a visit and within easy reach by car. Kylemore Abbey is a must. Absolutely amazing setting, great food in the visitor centre. Best Irish stew I've had for a long time. We slept like logs due to the very comfortable bed and the blissful quietness. We would most certainly highly recommend this lovely cottage and we look forward to returning in the near future. Michael (owner) was a great host and a pleasure to deal with. Despite our late arrival from England, he was there to greet us and show us round which was so very much appreciated.
Really impressive - 5 Stars *****
What a great house. Really good and comparatively good value against similar houses. This was a lovely house with great facilities, really clean and the stove heater (turf and logs provided) was brilliant on the rainy day we arrived. A real home away from home and only 30 mins from Ros a Mhil (Rossaveal) if you want to catch the ferry to the Aran Islands (which we did - even got sunburnt - which we wernet expecting). It is a great size and was very comfortable for the 2 families. Would highly recommend....the deck was great too and the view stunning. The location is just remote enough with lots of lovely attractions within an hour drive - albeit on bumpy roads but you would expect that in Connemara...did something great every day...would highly recommend the Killary fjord cruise (they even let my daughter drive the boat) and the Aran Islands..Clifden (about an hour away) is a lovely town and the Station house is great for food and really good value compared to Dublin prices. Cong is also worth a visit (Ashford Castle etc) and loads of Quiet man references. Finally watched the movie which was in the house on DVD. The kids loved the Jacuzzi bath too - great laughs! We had a lovely holiday here and would have no qualms in recommending it to others.

We have just had a gorgeous week in this beautiful cottage. The setting of the cottage is outstanding with 360 degree panorama, especially when sat on the decking. The surrounding area is great too, with so many places to explore, there is still lots we would like to see. The property itself was impeccable, and was such a lovely place to be and shelter from some of those inevitable rain showers! We managed to imbibe some of the peace and tranquillity of the area through such a thoughtful and well presented home. Again, I can't recommend this property highly enough. We have just returned from a short holiday in Ireland and cannot wait to go back. It has always been a place we wanted to visit and we could not have chosen better accommodation for our stay than this immaculate cottage. Situated in a quiet and peaceful area, with beautiful scenery from every window, the cottage has every amenity you can think of and is within easy distance of some of the most picturesque places the country has to offer. We cannot recommend this cottage enough.
